YeeTing Wong -An artist from Kota Kinabalu, Sabah, Malaysia who had been painting for twenty eight years.

She is internationally renowned for her innovative self portraits and wildlife paintings. Her works painted in acrylic, oil, watercolor, tea, coffee, ink and mixed media range in sizes from 500cm to
10cm. She has recently started a range of cushion covers featuring the birds and animals she loves.
Internationally acclaimed, Ting has been an artistic ambassador for Malaysia four times at world's biggest wildlife event, the Bird Fair in the U.K. in 2014, 2018, 2019, 2020 and awarded best stand second runner up in this legendary international bird conservation in 2019. She is also artist in residence at award winning eco lodge Borneo Rainforest Lodge and farther afield at Bluff Cove Lagoon in the Falkland Islands. She’s passionate about penguins and has painted them in the field in the South Atlantic. She has been artist on board Azamara Cruise with New York based art gallery Art Wave Art. Ting was invited to paint on site in collaboration with Swedish artist Jan Hallfors for three months during the launch of Sabah Art Gallery in 2013 and at Warton Hall in UK during National Garden Scheme Open Garden in 2018.
Passionate about wildlife, Ting joins bird watching trips and nature walks to enrich knowledge and enliven creativity. She has enjoyed watching Green & White Hummingbirds in Machu Picchu, more than fifty species of hummingbirds in South America, visited a family of the enigmatic Kagu in New Caledonia, hiked the foothills of active volcano in Rabaul, Papua New Guinea in search of the
Megapodes that lay their eggs in the volcanic ashes, shared a joyous moment with the mother Orang Hutan as she fed on figs with her baby on the canopy across the Danum River in Sabah, cruised the mighty Amazon River and follow the elusive and smartest fresh water Pink River Dolphins on skiff.
Ting’s debut solo exhibition, Walking On Air at Sabah Art Gallery in 2014 showcased 83 paintings. She frequently participates in the annual Women Artist Exhibition and Invitational Artist Exhibition there. Ting has been active in the art scene in Kota Kinabalu's artisan markets, group exhibitions and art festivals. Her art workshops and classes from home studio Borneo Art Base were conducted since 1993 to generations of students where some of them continue to pursue their career in art.
YeeTing's paintings are collected by art connoisseurs and are hung in homes and businesses all around the world, from Germany, Canada, USA, UK, Australia, France, New Zealand, Polland, Brunei, Thailand, Singapore, Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Malaysia. She has set up studios in Denmark where she has a strong following and in Somerset, England. But she is always drawn back to Kota Kinabalu. For the last 2 years she has been to creating new series of paintings to showcase the island province where she was born.
Her artworks are currently on display at Maleri Strandvang, Denmark, Sabah Art Gallery, Borneo Rainforest Lodge, Shangri-la Tanjung Aru Hotel, and Bluff Cove Lagoon, Falklands.
In the past Ting’s works have contributed to conservation efforts and charity organizations. This includes World Land Trust, UK Rutland Bird Fair, SPCA, UK National Garden Scheme and David Shepherd Wildlife Foundation.
