The Hornbills are one of my favorite subjects, for their bizarre and yet unique beauty.

This year's Bird Fair is also fund raising for the conservation efforts of the critically endangered Helmeted Hornbill.

In these watercolors exclusively created for the event,  the Helmeted Hornbills at their nest built in the hollow of very old tree that is getting less due to deforestation.
The female bird seals the nest with only a small opening for the male Helmeted Hornbill to feed her with Figs and insects.  If the male bird is hunted the mother and chicks will not survive.
Hunted to the brink of extinction for their casques, that has been used as carving materials for centuries.
The Helmeted Hornbill, another ambassador of urgent call for wildlife and nature conservation, deserves a safe home.

Please consider donating the entrance fee to the physical Bird Fair for fund-raising to save the Helmeted Hornbills.
